This workshop aims to share with you specially prepared lesson plans and worksheets which you can use during your outreach to teach English to the locals. In the process this tool can serve to help you to build friendship and communicate the Gospel with the locals.
Elizabeth Yeak is a prolific author who has specialized in producing books that help people learn and enjoy the English language. She is a dynamic trainer in great demand who heads her own company EMC Learning Resources Pte Ltd (http://emc.sg). She is a devoted Christian with a passion for using the learning of English as a tool to share the gospel. |
| OUTREACH WORKSHOP #2 - How to use Sports and Games as an outreach tool? |
Ever thought what you enjoy most in sports can be used for the Lord? Come to this workshop if you are keen to know how. You will be equipped to use sports and games as a means for building friendship and communicating the Gospel with the locals. Games and sports are effective means to reach out not only to children and youths but even be a bridge to the not so young!
Andy Lim served in the Salvation Army as a pastor for over 22 years. In the last 9 years there he was also the Youth and Candidates Secretary in charge of all youth work in the Territory. In those years he became involved with the International Sports Coalition (ISC) and became a council member of the International Sports Leaders Training (ISLT) Council. Andy is a certified trainer with the ISLT and has conducted training in many Asian countries stretching from India to Japan. Currently he is the Convener of the Asian Sports Coalition (ASC). He has seen the effectiveness of using sports by Christians for both community penetration and transformation.

| In this workshop you will be equipped to use music as a creative way to reach out to the locals. Music is a powerful media that transcends language and cultural barriers to touch the heart and soul of people, thus communicate God’s love to the local. If you have some talent in this area, why not come and learn how you can use it to serve the Lord during this outreach?
Aleni Rivers is originally from Samoa but now resides in Perth, Australia. He has been involved with Youth With A Mission since 1992. Through his involvement with YWAM he has travelled extensively, from the Cook Islands to the slums of India to the townships of South Africa. He is also a part of YWAM Perth’s eldership and this calls on him regularly to teach, mentor and disciple. His specialty is using worship and performing arts in evangelism and he has done so on the streets and halls of many a cities of the world. He has also been involved in coaching and releasing international young worshippers and worship leaders.

Creativity is an aspect that God imparted upon us when He made us in His image. It is no wonder that many tribes and cultures have passed on their stories through the creative arts such as story-telling, drama and dance, etc. This workshop will equip you to use drama and dance to creatively communicate the message of God’s story. Creative arts, particularly drama and dance, is a powerful tool that transcends language barrier to speak to the hearts of the receipients.
Ben Soh is a gifted young artist who has been used by the Lord to inspire many other creative people to use their talents to serve the Lord. He has led art students on outreach trips to India, Nepal, Cairo and most recently Jakarta. He is currently serving with YWAM Australia

| OUTREACH WORKSHOP # 5 - How to use Health & Hygiene as an outreach tool? |
In the developing world where we are challenged with many contagious diseases and health and hygiene issues, being equipped to teach locals about simple health and hygiene practices are effective means to reach out to them and express God’s love in a practical way. This workshop won’t turn you into a medical professional overnight but at least you can learn some simple and practical steps to bring healing to their bodies and in the process touch their hearts for Jesus.
Dr Leong Choon Kit graduated from NUS Medical faculty in 1991, obtained M.Med (Public Health) in 1998 and Grad Dip in Family Medicine in 2003. He has been an associate staff with Campus Crusade for Christ since 1992 and spent 4 years full time serving a restricted access nation. He started Mission Medical Clinic in 2003 with a group of like minded doctors. They use their clinic as a platform and model to help doctors to work and serve using their profession as a means of sharing Christ. Hw worships at Bethesda (Serangoon) Church. |

This workshop is open to those who are leading teams for the coming outreach. You will learn the various aspects of effective team leadership that results in discovering God’s purpose for individual and team, in world missions.
Sean Yu is the founder (15 years ago!) and executive officer at Christian Mission Fellowship (CMF). He is also the Founder and executive officer in Christian Mission Business Association (CMBA). He facilitates youth through networking, mentorship, and mission. He facilitates Christian Businessmen to do mission . He has served as a pastor for 21 years. In the 21 years, 5 years were spent as field worker in the Middle East region during the Afghan and Iraq war to pioneer business and missions. He is currently serving in YWAM Singapore in Go Centre as a mobilizer for mission in South East Asia. |
| OUTREACH WORKSHOP #7 - How to lead someone to a relationship with Christ and do follow up? |
What do I do with someone who is interested to know Jesus? How do I begin? What is the full gospel message? Come to this workshop and be equipped with practical skills of sharing the Gospel with someone, and lead him/her to Christ, as well as learn how to do follow up with a young believer.
Amos Ang and a team from Campus Crusade for Christ will lead this workshop. They have consistently been used by the Lord to inspire and train God’s people to share their faith effectively. Amos has been serving in Campus Crusade for Christ since 1991. He is currently part of the Campus Leadership team working with campus staff and also the Workplace Initiative Network Director. Graduated from Regent College with a Master of Divinity, Amos gave leadership to the Evangelism Focus Group in the Campus Ministry for the past 2 years. He is happily married to Karen for 11 years with 2 boys, Nathan and Josiah. |
| OUTREACH WORKSHOP #8 - How to listen to the voice of God during missions? |
Outreaches are not only about doing a task, but they are opportunities to develop a closer relationship with God through seeking Him in prayer. You will learn how to listen to the voice of God both as individuals and as a team during missions. This is a discipline you will bring with you even after the mission trip is over.
Andy & Marcia Zimmermann joined Youth With A Mission in 1980 and were married in Switzerland where Andy grew up, in 1981. They have two daughters, Estee (25) and Erika, (22) and a son, Jeremy (17). They currently live in Ventura, California where Andy administrates John Dawson's International YWAM Presidential office and the International Reconciliation Coalition office. Marcia is an intercessor with a heart for young people, Native American ministries and Jewish/Gentile reconciliation. |

Lai Kheng Pousson was a school teacher before entering full-time ministry in 1980. She has led numerous teams to prayerwalk the nations in Asia. As the Special Assistant for LoveSingapore, her primary involvement is in the areas of corporate communications, prayer and missions mobilization. She is also the Love East Timor Project Director for Cocoon, a community-based English Language programme in Dili.

This workshop aims to teach you how to impart to the local church the principles and guidelines for building a curriculum to disciple and grow the believers in their faith.
The Rev Dr Norman Wong graduated from the London Bible college in 1977 and has been serving the Lord in various capacities – missionary, pastor, Director of Youth Ministries - ever since. He is an ordained Elder with the Methodist Church in Singapore. He is currently the Executive Director of the Methodist Missions Society. |
